Dear readers, First off I’d like to thank the thousands of you who filled out our survey a couple weeks ago. The insights we gained from this were both interesting and encouraging. I’m aware that it’s heavily skewed towards people who support our vision, but that doesn’t concern me. The wonderful thing about the membership model is that we are tailoring it especially for you, not anybody else.
CT always felt like a community, even from day 1 and that’s what resonated from then start. Many were happy to support good intelligent journalism and opinion in any way we could. We bought socks that came in beautiful brown paper bags, we clicked ads (but probably not enough), we paid to join, we put stickers on anything we could, we bought kit and t-shirts and wore them with absolute pride. When CT became more global it felt like we were sharing something ridiculously special with the wider world. When WW left it all felt a little like our parents had left us. When it all went Pete Tong we were all f*#king devastated. All power to you Wade and the team. You will have supporters and you will mail this.

The internet has broken media and reporting. I won’t get into the click bait instant headlines before stories and facts BS but we all used to go and buy it. Newspaper, Magazines etc now somehow it’s meant to all be free and you get what you pay for. Sure there was TV and radio but that was not on demand and usually short form unless on a weekly cycle which gives time for fact checking and editing!
Hey Wade, whilst I reckon you’d be in high demand as an Uber driver I believed I’d prefer to read, hear and see you and your team’s contribution to my required cycling media consumption. Committing my money here and now buddy 👍
